BOARD MEMBER VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
The Honey Lake Valley Resource Conservation District (HLVRCD) is inviting community members to apply for one unscheduled vacancy on its Board of Directors.
Since 1954, the District has worked to support the conservation, restoration, and stewardship of agricultural and natural resources throughout Lassen County. The HLVRCD partners with landowners, agencies, and community members to provide technical assistance, support conservation projects, and promote responsible resource stewardship.
The Board of Directors plays an important role in guiding this work by providing leadership, setting policy and priorities, and supporting outreach within the community. Serving on the Board is a meaningful way to contribute to local conservation efforts that benefit those who live, work, and visit Lassen County. The current Board includes Jesse Claypool, Will Johnson, Laurie Tippin, and Robin Hanson.
Directors are appointed by the Lassen County Board of Supervisors, with the District assisting in the recruitment process. Qualified candidates must be registered voters in the State of California, reside within the District, and either own real property within the District or be a designated agent of a landowner. The Board meets at 3:30 p.m. on the fourth Thursday of each month.
To apply, interested individuals must complete a Lassen County Application for Appointment to Boards, Committees, or Commissions and return it to the Lassen County Clerk’s Office.
For more information, please contact District Manager Kelsey Siemer at (530) 260-0067 or kmarks@honeylakevalleyrcd.us. Additional details about the District, board members, and the application process are available at www.honeylakevalleyrcd.us.
