New Hire - Kayla Meyer 10/1/18

Kayla joined the Honey Lake Valley RCD this Summer as Project Coordinator, after having served as Public Information Officer and Renewable Energy Coordinator with the Nevada Governor’s Office of Energy. In addition to this position, she has experience with floodplain management, water resources planning, climate action planning, public policy, environmental consulting, environmental education, sustainable agriculture and rural farming initiatives in both Nevada and California. Kayla holds a Master’s in Environmental Law and Policy from Vermont Law School and a Bachelor’s of Science in Law and Environmental Studies from Florida Gulf Coast University. In her free time, Kayla enjoys hiking, kayaking, traveling internationally, hunting for vintage treasures, painting and silversmithing.
